Crowdsource fundraising by individuals for indivduals

This is an interesting article about how the IRS treats funds raised on crowdsourcing websites when the funds are raised by individuals.  

When a 501(c)3 uses a crowdsourcing site, they will follow the same contribution rules they would for any kind of fundraising. 

However, this information is useful if you are asked about how it works when an individual sets up a fundraiser for another individual.
